Together we make a difference

Turosi Giving is built on the premise that there is power in numbers.

Partnering with VISY

Turosi Giving has partnered with VISY for many previous and ongoing fund raising events.

At Turosi our vision is an organisation where ‘giving’ is firmly embedded into its culture.

At the heart of our organisation, and in line with our core values, is the desire to do our part for the community. Through Turosi Giving, we proudly support many community and charity partners across Australia through financial contributions, fundraising, charity events, volunteer days and donated goods and services.  Together with our corporate partners, we have contributed more than $1.5M to those in need since our charity begun.

Passion lead us here

Our vision is an organisation where ‘giving’ is firmly embedded into its culture.

Our mission is to present opportunities to our employees through which they can actively contribute towards improving the lives of children. We will inspire our members to take part in programs which will not only benefit others but enrich their own lives in the process.

Our Focus

We believe every child in this world has the right to have their basic needs, such as food, water, clothing, education, healthcare and recreation, met. In reality, this is not the case for many children and their families.

Working with Families

When working with families, we focus on finding practical ways to ease their burden and to provide some relief from their circumstances. We aim to build solid relationships and in doing so, develop a mutual trust and become change-makers within less fortunate communities.

Our Donations

Our donations are directed into areas where we have identified a real need and where the donation will have a direct, immediate, or long lasting benefit for the recipient.

The Bloody Long Walk – BRISBANE 18 JUNE 2023 A 35KM CHALLENGE TO CURE MITO.

Mitochondrial disease (Mito for short) is a debilitating genetic disorder that robs the body’s cells of energy, causing multiple organ dysfunction or failure. One in 200 people, or more than 120,000 Australians, may carry the genetic mutations that put them at risk of developing mito or other related symptoms such as diabetes, deafness, childhood dementia or seizures during their lifetimes. There are many forms of mitochondrial disease; and can affect anyone of any age. SAs yet, sadly there is no cure.

Steven Eastman, Planning & Procurement Manager in Eagle Farm and his wife, Stella have been participating in The Bloody Long Walk for over four years now.

Golf Day 2023

2023 saw our Ball Sponsors APG take out their very first win with a very close equal second and third from GPS and Ridley.  The weather was on our side and thanks to the collective effort of us all, we managed to raise $20,000 for our chosen charity.

Turosi Giving Charity Ball 2022

Charity Ball 2022

For this year’s Charity Ball we chose the Royal Flying Doctor Service as our charity of choice. It was a wonderful evening filled with our corporate partners and their guests at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne. Together, we really made a difference.

About Us

Turosi Giving is built on the premise that there is power in numbers. A small contribution made by many people can make a considerable difference to those in need when we work together towards a common goal.

The First Stone

The first stone was cast in 2011, when a formal charity organisation was established on behalf of employees within the company. Since then, we have assisted many charities, both locally and abroad, by providing relief and support to people in genuine need of help.

Our Employees & Business Partners

have experienced first-hand the rewards that come from giving to those less fortunate. Turosi Giving is a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC) as a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI). The purpose of the charity is to relieve the burden resulting from sickness, poverty, disability and other misfortune, with a particular focus on children.

Employee Volunteer Program

The Company acknowledges that not everybody is in a position to provide a financial contribution. For others, giving their time is a preferred option. Giving of one’s time is just as valuable as any other contribution. Turosi encourages employees to participate in the Volunteering Program by offering two days paid leave per year to be used for the purpose of volunteering with a not-for-profit organisation of their choice.

Fundraising

The organisation plans to carry out a range of signature events each year. These events are designed to engage key stakeholders associated with the company such as sponsors, employees, business partners, and local community groups. Various activities are proposed and run by employees during the normal course of business.
